We’re thrilled to welcome Diego Rodríguez Hart, an exceptionally skilled and passionate pianist, as our new piano tutor at Bishopbriggs School of Music!

Diego’s musical journey began at just six years old at the "Alejandro García Caturla" Conservatoire, where he trained under renowned pianist Isabel Clavera. As he advanced in his studies, he attended the “Amadeo Roldan National Conservatoire” and then moved to Portugal at age 16, graduating with top honors from the prestigious “Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho.” In 2016, Diego was accepted into the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Piano Performance under the guidance of pianist and conductor Norman Beedie. Now, as he pursues an Artist Diploma at RCS, Diego brings his refined talent and deep love for teaching to our school.

Over his career, Diego has performed in some of Cuba’s and Portugal’s finest concert venues, including the Basilica de San Francisco de Asís in Havana and the National Auditorium of Espinho. He’s also been awarded numerous accolades, such as the Classical Concerto Prize at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and top prizes at international piano competitions, including the Concurso Iberico do Alto Minho and the Elisa Pedroso Piano Competition. He has performed with distinguished orchestras, like the Classical Orchestra of Espinho, and participated in masterclasses with prominent pianists like Aaron Shorr and William Fong.

Diego’s passion for piano and impressive background make him an inspiring addition to our teaching team. His goal is to help each student unlock their potential, enjoy the beauty of music, and build a strong foundation for their own musical journeys. We’re excited for our students to learn from him and experience his engaging, supportive teaching style firsthand!
