Alexander Traykov began playing the piano at the age of nine and quickly developed a deep passion for music. At twelve, he began studying with Bulgarian concert pianist Yoana Karemova, earning his ABRSM Grade 8 the following year. He has since been awarded first and second prizes in several international piano competitions, including the Grand Prize Virtuoso, Golden Classical Music Awards, and Flame Concours. He is also a recipient of a generous prize fund from the Eileen Rowe Music Trust, which has supported his artistic development.

Alexander later studied with Alberto Portugheis, who had a profound influence on his musical interpretation and artistic approach. He has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York), the Grosser Saal of the Mozarteum (Salzburg), and the Purcell Room (London). In addition to his solo performances, he has participated in masterclasses and festivals, including the Thomas Harris Piano Foundation and Forum Musikae Summer School, studying with distinguished pianists such as Edna Golandsky and Leonel Morales.

In 2018, Alexander was accepted into The Purcell School, where he initially studied with Danielle Salamon before continuing his training with Stephen Coombs. During his time there, he worked with renowned musicians, including William Fong, Zuzana Niederdorfer, and Aaron Shorr.

He is currently pursuing a BMus degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under Petras Geniušas.
